The Great Sampradayas

Remember this great war at the end of Avengers: Endgame?

The good side won because all the heroes from all the movies came together & our Sanatan Dharma has the same concept of brotherhood … here’s the tea.

Hinduism is built on the concept of sampradayas i.e. different groups that worship God in their own way in harmony & peace.

This diversity is not a weakness, it shows the openness of our Dharma, and so a smart Hindu doesn’t fight other sampradayas but rather celebrates them.

The main ones are:

1. Vaishnavs, who worship Vishnu & his avatars, notably Krishna

2. Shaivas, who consider Shiva as the top G, with schools like Kashmir Shavism, Shiva Siddhanta in the South, and Lingayatism

3. Shaktas, who worship Devi or Shakti, the female energy

4. Smartas, who worship the 5-member team of Shiva, Vishnu, Devi, Surya, & Ganesha

5. Pushtimarga, which focuses on devotion & bhakti to Krishna

6. Saurism, which focuses on Surya or the Solar Deity

7. Ganapatyas, who worship Ganesha

8. Kaumarams, who worship Kartikeya/Murugan/Skanda

9. Naths, who combine Yoga, Shavism & Shakti worship

10. Warkaris, who worship Vithoba, a Krishna avatar

11. Radha Vallabhas, who worship Radha Rani

12. Brahmo Samaj of Bengal who believe in social reform

13. Santa Mats, led by saints, who believe in bhakti

And the list goes on for 100+ sampradayas.

As modern Hindus, it’s time to see the beauty in this diversity, stop fighting among each other for no reason, & realise that we need to unite in order to defeat those who attack our Dharma.
