Dharma & Bharat Bulletin

A morning newspaper for Hindus and spiritual seekers, published by Tryambak Media.

Every three days, at midnight IST, we publish the five stories from the days since the last edition that matter most to Hindus and to anyone walking a Dharmic path: temples, festivals and pilgrimages, saints and sampradāyas, Hindus abroad, heritage and sacred sites, court rulings on faith, and the politics that touches Hindu life. We leave out general news that has no bearing on Dharma. Alongside the news sit short reads by Manik Rege (@manikthinks) that explain the ideas, texts and people behind the tradition.

Sanskrit terms use IAST transliteration where it helps, so that a reader can find the same word in a scholarly source.

Editorial standards

Fresh or not at all

Every story in an edition was first published or materially updated since the previous edition, in India Standard Time. If we cannot see a timestamp, the story is dropped. We would rather run fewer stories than pad with old ones.

Primary sources first

We lead with PIB, ministries, courts, temple boards and the ASI, then wires and established newsrooms such as PTI, ANI, Reuters, The Hindu, Indian Express, Hindustan Times and Business Standard.

Claims are attributed

Facts are stated plainly. Allegations, party claims and community figures are labelled with who made them. On politics we report what was said and done, not what to think about it.

Every link was opened

Each "Read more" link is a page we opened while reporting. Ideological or community outlets appear only as supplementary reading, never as the sole source of a fact.

Numbers are checked

Key data comes from the linked report. We do not estimate or round numbers into something they are not.

Images are credited

Photos are freely licensed images from Wikimedia Commons, shown as representative images with the photographer and licence named under each one.
