How are Parshuram & Ram connected?
How are Parshurama & Ram connected to each other? Here’s the tea.
First, you have to understand that Parshuram is a Shaktivesha avatar of Vishnu, meaning he only has the essence, unlike other avatars such as Ram, complete avatars, or Krishna, who is fully God coming onto earth Himself.
Parshuram was born as Bhargavaram & trained as a warrior by Lord Shiva who was the one to grant him Cheeranjeevi i.e. immortality, which means he’s still here on Earth with us right now.
He gained the name name Parshuram because of his axe, called the Parshu.
To avenge his parents, Parshuram swore to destroy all the bad kshatriyas in the world & so he was famous for being a hot-tempered Hulk who killed millions of soldiers.
The intersection happened when his bow, Pinaka, granted by Shiva, which was eventually passed down to King Janaka, was broken by Shri Ram to win Sita Ma’s hand in marriage.
So Parshuram was pissed & he met Ram, challenging him to handle another bow, Richika, this time even more powerful as it was given by Vishnu.
When Lord Ram flexed it as usual, Parshuram realised he was meeting another Avatar. The two had met for a transfer of Shakti i.e. energy after which Parshuram retired to the mountains for meditation.
Parshuram is important because he’s going to be the guy who will coach the last Vishnu avatar, Kalki, who’s going to fly in to save us when Earth has completely gone to shit.
BTW, the word “Ram” in itself is sort of a password for countless root words deriving from various Gods, which is why Ram kinda means the essence of everything which pleases & gives joy to us.
