Decoding Vastu Shastra - Part 1

Bro this Vastu Shastra is such a scam.

Nobody told you the logic behind it & here’s the tea.

Vastu comes from Sanskrit “vas” & “tu” i.e. where we dwell, which includes homes, offices, mandirs/temples, cities & entire countries.

It is part of a larger ancient science of architecture called Sthapatyaveda, part of our Atharvaveda.

It simply says that just like your body needs its mouth, heart & legs in certain places to work properly, the places you live in also needs to be structured properly for the Sun & Earth’s energies to flow through it properly … because the home is like an extension of you, so making it in tune with the flow of magnetic, solar rays & other types of waves (incl. geomagnetism, solar energy, cosmic energies, ruling deities, etc.) around us can shape our thoughts to be happy in our relationships, do work properly, and ultimately get success.

While the science of this relationship between our bodies, minds & all the other cosmic forces or energies mentioned, is yet to be proven - the subject is guided by the wisdom of these theories.

Now the organs that make up the energy of a home’s body are the panchamahabhoota i.e. the five elements - jala (water), vayu (wind), agni (fire), prithvi (earth) & aakash (sky).

They all flow in & govern certain directions. Water controls North-East as that’s where the early morning light from the rising Sun appears first because of Earth’s slightly tilted axis. Since that is calm, it is represented by the calm energy.

All of this is visualized through the vastu-purusha mandala, a simple diagram which plots a home in an exapandable 3*3 grid of nine squares, with the head of the purusha facing North East.
