Karna’s Death in Mahabharata #KalkiMovie

I’m leaking the opening scene of the sequal or Part 2 of the Kalki Movie you just watched! So here’s the tea with spoilers!

In the final scene, we find out that Bhairava, played by Prabhas has the energy of Karna, who was Ashwatthama’s friend in Mahabharata.

We go to the flashback with Krishna telling Arjuna how Karna is the strongest fighter in the battlefield.

Karna is actually Arjuna’s half-bro, with their mom being Kunti & his dad being Surya Dev or the Sun but he’s abandoned by his mom who was to young at the time & then adopted, which is why he’s called a Surya Putra as well as a Suta putra (as his adoptive dad is a charioteer).

The guy also trains with Arjuna’s teacher, Dronacharya, who’s Ashwatthama’s dad, but when Drona denies him the knowledge of the Brahmastra because of his cruel ambitions, he tricks another guy Parshurama to give the info but gets cursed that he’ll forget it when he actually needs to use it.

He also loses the protective shield gifted by his Dad due to a trick played by Indra & the pandavas, making him vulnerable. And when he’s facing Arjuna & Krishna, his chariot’s wheel gets stuck in the mud because of a curse given to him by a Brahmin for killing a cow.

He asks for a strategic timeout but Krishna tells him he’s a hypocrite because he’d forgotten all his values when Arjuna’s wife Draupadi was being publicly harassed by his friends.

Taking the opportunity, Arjuna aims the Anjalika Death Rod & kills him. Karna does go to the heavenly abode in the final Swargarohanika chapter but since he’s not completely liberated, the movie makers have probably taken the liberty of bringing him back to complete his character arc of learning to respect women by switching his side to save Sumati.
