Decoding Vastu Shastra - Part 4
Let’s simplify Vastu Shastra for Gen-Zs - Part 4!
We now move towards the West i.e. Paschima. The Sun is now setting & its calm, so this direction correlates with jala or the water element, ruled by Varuna.
It stands for inner strength & growth, balance & profits. For this direction, the ideal rooms are study rooms as its believed to promote peace & concentration. It’s recommended to keep the air flowing here with windows & good ventillation.
On the other end, we we should try to avoid keeping the main entrance or kitchen here as they have a constant flow of fast activity so it doesn’t pair well with the peaceful flow of the associated element.
Next, we have the North-West (Vayavya), ruled by vayu or the air element. The Sun is now at its lowest & the night breeze is fast. It stands for movement, change & communication.
So this is ideal for guest rooms, bathrooms or any other temporary rooms that don’t have a purpose that’s permanent or of long duration. As such, Vastu recommends avoiding placing the bedroom here as the direction’s restless energy can trigger restlessness in you, too.
Lastly, we have Uttara, or North, ruled by Kuber, the god of Wealth. It’s tied to the fluidity of the water element because it is a cool direction as the Sun’s heat doesn’t reach here much.
Vastu considers this a lucky direction for growth, career & financial stability - so you can have the main entrance, living room, office or your cash locker here.
Avoid storage, bathrooms, or rooms that involve slow movement like bedrooms, as that can affect the free flowing energy associated with this direction.
