3 Vishnus & Brahma’s Age
You ever wonder why Lord Brahma is mostly shown as an old guy in most photos & movies or serials?
For that we have to understand the creation theory & here’s the tea!
If we follow the Vaishnavism, we see the concept of 3 Vishnus. The first one is the Dreamer, Mahavishnu, also called as the Karanodakasayi, is sitting on the Karan Samudra or the Causal Ocean & he spawns millions of multiverses from the pores of his body when he exhales.
The second Vishnu, called Garbhodakasayi, is the Preserver. He enters each universe & rests on the cosmic ocean, also giving birth to the first being & architect, Brahma, through a lotus that stems from his naval.
Each Brahma lives for 100 Brahma years which equals 311 trillion+ human years, after which that universe is destroyed & created again by Mahavishnu.
And currently, scriptures say we are in the 2nd or 1st day of the 51st Brahma year in the Shweta Varaha Kalpa i.e. Brahma has completed half of his life already, making him mature.
Brahma’s old depiction is also probably more metaphorical than literal tied to his personality as a wise guy since he’s the Creator of our universe, since in many puranas, he’s actually described as a handsome guy.
The third Vishnu, Kshirodakasayi, is Supervisor, the one who manifests in our avatars & enters the heart of every being at an atomic level, acting as our inner moral compass.
At the end, all Vishnus & Brahma are actually just one entity manifesting in different forms to do different specialised functions & give us darshan as per our needs & personalities.
