At the RSS Vijayadaśamī Utsav at Reshimbagh in Nagpur, marking the Sangh's 101st foundation day, Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat said a "western storm" lies behind unrest and regime change in France, Albania, Bangladesh and Nepal, and that India is its "ultimate goal". He said protests are part of democracy but should seek solutions rather than division.
He also called for regulation of social media and OTT platforms.
Key data
The speech came amid Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) led protests in Delhi demanding CEC Gyanesh Kumar's resignation over alleged irregularities in the SIR. CJP co-convenors Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka moved the Delhi High Court against their judicial custody on 20 Oct.
Why it matters
The Sangh's annual speech sets its agenda for the year. This one frames the agitation against the Election Commission as externally driven, which raises the political temperature before the next round of polls.
