Sanātana Explained

Why is Human Birth Special?

What if I told you, you’re actually higher than the Gods in heaven?

Here’s the tea.

The most WTF concept in Hinduism, is that the effects of any karma, even good karma, are all temporary.

So even if you do a lot of good deeds, and get promoted to higher heavenly places where the devtas live, it’s just like a temporary luxury resort, because once your karmic pass has expired, you’ll fall down eventually.

In contrast, when we’re born as lower life forms such as animals, beasts, insects or trees, we operate on instinct or auto-pilot, paying our karmic dues, so we’re not capable of free will & doing good karma.

This leaves us with only the human birth to wake up & seek the highest goal, moksha, which means to get out of this endless cycle of life & death altogether.

That’s why our world is called the Karma Bhoomi.

Only we humans, who have got this life because of our good karma, are capable of thinking of liberation with viveka (discrimination between this temporary body & the true Higher Self) & vairagya (detachment from the distracting sensual pleasures of food, sex, drinks, family ties, etc.)

So this life that you’ve got right now is so special, that even the Gods in the heavens crave & wish to be born again as human.

The idea is not to just do good work but to do it without any expectations or personal selfish motives, not even expecting moksha out of your work, called nishkama karma - which is the only way that the karma will NOT bind or tie us back to this world.

So don’t waste this chance, do your meditation, and free yourself from the cycle.
