Decoding the Pasayadan - Part 2

The most beautiful prayer & poem was written by a little boy!

Let’s continue decoding Sant Dnyaneshwar’s Pasayadan.

The fifth ovi goes:

This roughly means, “May the forests of the wish-fullfilling kalpa trees arise, may villages of consciousness & wish-jewels i.e. the chintamanis flourish, and may there be an ocean of beautiful speech spoken by everyone.”

The sixth part goes:

This is adding more imagery & visualization as metaphors or analogies for the goodness he wants to bring to this world.

It says, “May the moon be spotless, may the Sun without excess heat, and may all people be virtuous, living in peace.”

The seventh part goes:

It roughly means, “May all be supremely happy, let the 3 worlds be fulfilled, let they worship the Supreme Being, who is unbroken.”

The eight part goes:

Which is a prayer seeking that those who live by scriptures, let those special people arise & pop up everywhere, and may Dharma’s victory be granted, let it be manifested.

Finally, the last ninth part goes:

Which means, “Here the Lord of the Universe will give this as a gift to the world, so may Jnyaneshwar’s grace extend to everyone, may he & all of us become blissful.”
